Saint Arcadius, Bishop of Arsinoe

Arkadios was born in Arsinoe on Cyprus, the son of the pious Michael and Anna, and studied in Constantinople before returning to his homeland.

He became known for his ascetic struggles and virtues, and when Bishop Nikon died, he succeeded him on the throne of Arsinoe.

He shepherded his flock well and died peacefully on 29 August. He had a brother, Saint Theosevios of Arsinoe.
