Priest of Magnesia in Asia Minor, martyred at a great age.
Biography
According to tradition, Charalambos was a priest at Magnesia in Asia Minor and was martyred under the emperor Septimius Severus at more than a hundred years of age.
He is one of the most popular saints in Greece, and many churches are dedicated to him.
