Saint Mary of Clopas
One of the Myrrh-bearing women who stood by Christ's agony on the cross and were among the first to hear news of the Resurrection.
Biography
Mary was the wife of Clopas and one of the women who followed Jesus and served in his ministry. She stayed near him through his agony on the cross at Golgotha and at his burial, while most of the disciples had gone into hiding or scattered.
She was also one of the Myrrh-bearing women who went to the tomb with spices on Sunday morning and were among the first to hear the joyful news of Christ's Resurrection.
