Saint Peter of Sebaste
The youngest brother of Basil the Great and Gregory of Nyssa, and bishop of Sebaste in Lesser Armenia.
Biography
Peter was born around 349 in Caesarea of Cappadocia, the youngest brother of Basil the Great and Gregory of Nyssa. His sister Macrina guided him into ascetic life, and he became abbot of the monastery Basil had founded in Pontus.
Basil ordained him a priest and, in 380, bishop of Sebaste in Lesser Armenia. In 381 he took part in the Second Ecumenical Council in Constantinople, and he died peacefully around 392.
