Saints Aristarchus, Pudens and Trophimus, Apostles of the Seventy
Apostles of the Seventy and co-workers of the Apostle Paul; Aristarchus of Thessalonica appears in Acts as one of his travelling companions.
Biography
Aristarchus, Pudens and Trophimus were among the Seventy Apostles and close co-workers of the Apostle Paul. Aristarchus came from Thessalonica, and Paul refers to him as his fellow prisoner in Rome.
Paul mentions Pudens as a co-worker in the Gospel in Rome. Trophimus was brought to the faith by Paul at Ephesus and afterward followed him to Jerusalem and Rome.
All three were martyred by beheading during Nero's persecution.
