Biography
According to the Old Testament book that bears his name, Daniel was taken captive to Babylon, where he served at court, interpreted dreams and was saved from the lions' den.
The Three Youths — Ananias, Azarias and Misael — are commemorated on the same day; according to the same book they came out unharmed from Nebuchadnezzar's fiery furnace.
