Saint Melitina the Martyr

A martyr who, according to the Synaxarion, confessed Christ before the local ruler, endured torture and was finally beheaded.

Biography

Melitina was denounced as a Christian and brought before the local ruler, where she openly confessed her faith in Christ. The ruler, enraged, ordered her struck brutally on the face and had her stripped before bringing her to trial.

There she was interrogated for hours and subjected to many tortures, until she was finally beheaded, receiving the crown of martyrdom.
