Saint Plutarch, Bishop in Cyprus
Bishop in Cyprus whom the chronicle of Leontios Machairas counts among the island's saints; no other details of his life survive.
Biography
Plutarch is mentioned only in the Chronicle of Leontios Machairas, which counts him among the saints of Cyprus and lists him sixth among the bishops of Salamis, after the apostle Barnabas; the older Synaxaria do not mention him at all.
His name also appears in 7th-century inscriptions dedicated to Saint Sergius. His very existence, along with the details of his life, remains unverified.
