Saints Terence and Neonilla and their children

A Christian family — the spouses Terence and Neonilla with their five sons and two daughters, Bele and Eunice — who, according to the Synaxarion, refused to flee persecution and were beheaded for their faith.

Biography

Terence and Neonilla were a Christian couple with five sons - Sarbelos, Nitas, Hierax, Theodoulos and Photios - and two daughters, Bele and Eunice.

When persecution of Christians broke out and they were warned they were in danger of arrest, their children decided the family should not flee, since the persecution had spread everywhere and their flight would only spread panic among other Christians.

So the whole family stood firm in its decision, confessed Christ, and was beheaded together.
